The Element Optics Helix 1500 is a state-of-the-art rangefinder designed for precision in long-range shooting. It has a range of 1500 meters and a standard magnification of 6x, with a field-of-view of 12.3 meters at a distance of 100 meters. The objective has a diameter of 22 mm, providing decent light transmission, allowing you to observe an object while maintaining a good overview.

This rangefinder is incredibly lightweight, weighing only 150 grams and measuring 100 mm in length, making it easy to bring along on hikes. It feels great to hold and is very user-friendly. The weather-resistant housing, with a rough texture on top and bottom, ensures extra grip.

You can easily connect the Helix 1500 to the Element Ballistics app via Bluetooth and even link it to the HYPR-7 airrifle scope. This connectivity allows both devices to communicate and use all available data to provide the perfect firing solution. The data, including distance and angle to the target, is displayed on a dual-color T-OLED display, with green lines indicating the laser is active and red lines showing the angle and distance.

The highlight of the Helix 1500 is its Ballistic Calculator. By connecting to the free Element Optics app, you can input data from your scope and projectile, such as mounting height, bullet weight, and speed. The Ballistic Chip uses this data to calculate the correction and display it, allowing for quick and accurate targeting at long distances.

In the field

Pressing the button on top of the Helix 1500 rangefinder allows you to switch between three ranging modes:

• LOS (Line of Sight): Measures the actual distance to the object.
• HCD (Horizontal Component Distance): Measures the horizontal distance to the object, regardless of the angle.
• BALC (Ballistic Calculator): Displays the LOS along with a ballistic calculation for the point of impact, which can be shown in MOA, MRAD, inches, or cm.

Additionally, pressing the mode button for 3 seconds lets you switch between First and Last modes. The First mode ensures the rangefinder measures the distance to the closest object, while the Last mode measures the distance to the furthest object.
