The Czech manufacturer AirMaks has unveiled its latest iteration of the Katran series, named after the Black Sea shark. This lightweight PCP air rifle features a perfurated folding aluminum stock and weighs just 4.1 kgs for such a capable airgun.  The action of the Katran is exceptional. You can cock the rifle with one finger without taking your eyes off the target. The side lever offers incredibly smooth action and short travel, and it can be repositioned to the left side. This model also includes a mechanism to prevent double feeds. The CNC-machined buttstock folds to the left with a single button press and is secured by a magnet. The cheek rest and buttpad are crafted from durable ABS polymer.

The 700 mm barrel comes with a 1/2 UNF thread which can be enhanced with additional baffles or sound moderator . The air cylinder has a capacity of 285 cc and a maximum fill pressure of 300 Bar.  The 20 MOA Picatinny rail allows for easy scope attachment. And on the underside you have at your disposal an Arca Rail with 30 M-Lok slots.

The magazine holds sixteen .22 caliber pellets (5.5 mm), and the trigger is fully  adjustable. The AR-15  grip provides excellent ergonomic properties, and the manual safety is conveniently located on the left side of the body, accessible even with the buttstock folded, and can be relocated to the opposite side.
